My Approach & Values
Danielle Bowden is an Associate Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist who is passionate about working with all clients towards the goals of self-empowerment and acceptance. Danielle is particularly keen on working with children/adolescents, adults and their families, as well as trauma recovery, sexual abuse, chronic pain and play therapy.
As a native Californian, Danielle graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from California State University, Fresno in 2019. She went on to complete her Master of Science in Marriage and Family Therapy in 2021 from California State University, Fresno. Before she became a therapist, Danielle worked in applied behavior analysis providing services designed to positively change social and cognitive skills in children affected by autism spectrum disorder. Danielle also worked as an intern through Clovis Unified School District providing counseling services to students on school sites.
Danielle is devoted to bringing empathic and directive care to everyone she works with. Danielle utilizes a strength based, person-centered approach to therapy, believing in each individual’s capacity to grow with a potential for change, she believes in acknowledging client’s unique experiences and empowering them to create and find solutions to their problems. She strives to provide a safe, welcoming environment and provide genuine compassion to her clients. Her theoretical orientations include Person-Centered Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectic Behavioral Therapy, as well as Solution-Focused Therapy.
