“Loving ourselves through the process of owning our story is the bravest thing we will ever do.”
I know from my own life and experience that asking for help can stir up a lot of fear and shame— but don’t worry, this is where I come in to make it easier. As a trained and experienced therapist, I strive to provide a safe environment to help clients explore their inner selves, be vulnerable, gain new insights, manage their symptoms, and feel empowered so that they can live a life that’s best for them. I believe that my clients know themselves better than anyone, they are their and my best resource. So, if you are willing to help yourself, then I promise to support you with authenticity, trust, and empathy to bring you positive outcomes.
My Approach & Values
Aashi Pahwa is an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist who is passionate about helping clients explore their sense of belonging, coping abilities, self-worth, identity development and spiritual strength. She utilizes various techniques, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Play Therapy, Emotion Focused Therapy, Mindfulness, and Stress management strategies.
Originally from California, Aashi received her bachelor’s in human biology from University of California, San Diego and Master of Science in Marriage, Family, Child Therapy from California State University, Fresno. The extensive training and knowledge of different counseling theories, philosophy, and research built a strong understanding of interpersonal and socio-cultural factors impacting a person’s overall well-being. During her clinical experience, she worked in diverse settings with children, adolescents, couples, and adults where she realized the importance of letting them share their deepest worries and feelings without the fear of rejection or judgement.
Aashi is determined to create an environment of respect, healing and value creation for children/adolescents, adults, couples, and families. She strongly believes that everyone has the potential to win over their feelings of helplessness and hopelessness that succumbs them to relationship difficulties, psychological disorders, and self-destructive behaviors. She is passionate to apply her knowledge of human development, therapeutic interventions, and research to serve clients in developing a life that is wholesome.
