“You don’t have to control your thoughts. You just have to stop letting them control you.” — Dan Millman

I’m Amy, an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist, and I’m passionate about supporting individuals through life’s challenges while helping them reconnect with their inner strength, compassion, and self-trust. I strive to create a safe, nonjudgmental space where you can truly be yourself—exploring your thoughts, feelings, and experiences openly. I believe you are the expert in your own life, and my role is to walk alongside you with empathy, validation, and understanding as you navigate your journey.

My Approach & Values

Amy, AMFT, is an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist dedicated to supporting individuals through a variety of life challenges while helping them recognize their inner strength, compassion, and self-trust. She is committed to creating a safe, nonjudgmental environment where clients feel comfortable being themselves and are able to explore their thoughts, feelings, and emotions authentically.

Amy believes that clients are the experts of their own lives and values fostering a space where they feel heard, validated, and understood. Through empathy and compassion, she supports meaningful healing and personal growth. Her experience working with high-acuity adolescents and adults navigating mental health and substance use challenges has deepened her understanding that each individual has a unique story, further strengthening her dedication to this field.

She is passionate about empowering individuals to find their inner voice and helping them recognize that they are seen, valued, and understood. Amy takes a collaborative, client-centered approach to therapy, meeting each client where they are and supporting them in building confidence and resilience. She primarily utilizes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to help clients develop emotional regulation skills and effectively manage distress.

Amy earned her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from California State University, Monterey Bay, and her Master’s degree from Touro University Worldwide. In her free time, she enjoys visiting coffee shops, traveling, camping, trying new activities, and spending time with family. From a young age, she has been driven by a desire to help others and give back in meaningful ways.
