My Approach & Values
Ana Sanchez is an Associate Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist who is passionate about working with all clients towards the goals of self-empowerment and acceptance. Ana is dedicated to bringing compassionate as well as directive care to children/adolescents, adults and their families. She also finds joy in working with the Spanish speaking community.
As a California native, Ana earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Anthropology along with a minor in Communicative Disorders from California State University of Fresno in 2016. Ana continued her education at California State University of Fresno and earned a Master’s degree in Marriage, Family and Child Counseling in 2019.
Prior to joining the team at Central Valley Family Therapy, Ana was an intern at Fresno Family Counseling Center, where she provided bilingual services and participated in community outreach for mental health services at the Consulate of Mexico.
Ana has a strengths based, person-centered approach to therapy, believing in each individual’s capacity to grow with a potential for change. She strives to provide a safe, welcoming environment and provide genuine compassion to her clients. Her theoretical orientations include Person-Centered Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectic Behavioral Therapy, as well as Solution-Focused Therapy. Anna provides mental health services in both English and Spanish languages.
