Welcome, and thank you for being here. I’m Emily and I view therapy as a collaborative space for growth, self-awareness, and meaningful change. My approach is warm, supportive, and honest, while also encouraging insight and personal growth when needed. I strive to create an environment where you feel safe, understood, and supported throughout the therapeutic process. Whether you are navigating anxiety, relationship challenges, or life transitions, I am committed to meeting you where you are and helping you move forward with greater clarity, confidence, and balance.

My Approach & Values

Emily Valle Alegria is an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist dedicated to helping individuals and families build emotional awareness, strengthen relationships, and develop effective coping skills. She works with clients across the lifespan, including children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families, with a particular focus on supporting neurodiverse individuals and their families. Emily is fluent in both English and Spanish and provides therapy services in both languages.

Emily earned her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of California, Riverside, in 2021 and her Master of Arts in Clinical Psychology with an emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy from Azusa Pacific University in 2023.

Born and raised in Los Angeles, Emily’s personal and professional experiences have shaped her holistic and systemic approach to care. She values understanding clients within the context of their relationships, environments, and lived experiences. Her therapeutic approach primarily draws from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), while also incorporating elements of Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). Her clinical interests include anxiety, emotional regulation, social skills development, and family conflict.

Emily takes a collaborative and individualized approach to therapy, tailoring treatment to each client’s unique needs and goals. Outside of her clinical work, she enjoys reading, hiking with her two dogs, exploring new restaurants, and prioritizing time for rest and self-care.
