“We cannot become what we want by remaining what we are.”

 – Max DePree

Hi, I’m Kelly, I’m glad you’re here. My goal is to provide a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental space where we can work together to better understand your experiences and navigate life’s challenges. Using a holistic and trauma-informed approach, I strive to help you build insight, develop practical tools, and create meaningful, lasting change.

My Approach & Values

Kelly is an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist dedicated to supporting individuals, couples, and families as they navigate emotional and relational challenges while fostering self-awareness, resilience, and meaningful growth. She has experience working with clients facing trauma, severe mental illness, anxiety, depression, and interpersonal difficulties, with a particular focus on relationship concerns, intimacy, and life transitions. Kelly also has a strong interest in sex therapy and provides a safe, nonjudgmental space for clients to explore communication, desire, sexual well-being, intimacy concerns, sexual functioning, and healing from sexual trauma.

Kelly earned her Master of Arts in Marriage and Family Therapy from Alliant International University and her Bachelor’s degree in Child and Adolescent Development from California State University San Marcos. Originally from Modesto, California, and now based in San Diego, her experiences across diverse communities have shaped her culturally responsive, client-centered approach to care.

Her clinical work is grounded in a systemic perspective, recognizing the impact of relationships, environments, and lived experiences on overall well-being. Kelly takes an integrative, trauma-informed approach to treatment, drawing from family systems theory and evidence-based modalities, including Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT). She is committed to helping clients build practical coping skills, strengthen emotional regulation, improve communication, and create meaningful, goal-oriented change within a collaborative therapeutic environment.

Outside of her clinical work, Kelly enjoys snowboarding, traveling, cooking, collecting wine, and spending time with friends and family. She also values her faith as an important source of grounding and meaning in her life.
