“When we are no longer able to change a situation, we are challenged to change ourselves.”

– Viktor Frankl

Hello, my name is Mileena Rodriguez, and I am an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist. I am committed to creating a safe, supportive, and welcoming environment where clients feel heard, understood, and empowered. I view therapy as a collaborative and individualized process, tailoring my approach to meet each client’s unique needs and goals while supporting meaningful, lasting growth and change.

My Approach & Values

Mileena Rodriguez is an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist dedicated to supporting individuals throughout their therapeutic journey. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from California State University, Channel Islands, and her Master of Arts in Clinical Psychology with an emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy from Pepperdine University.

Born and raised in Bakersfield, California, Mileena developed a strong passion for mental health advocacy after witnessing the need for accessible support and the effects of stigma within her community. Her personal experiences, including navigating anxiety, further strengthen her empathy and connection with clients.

Mileena takes a collaborative, person-centered approach to therapy and integrates evidence-based practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Narrative Therapy, Emotion-Focused Therapy, and Family Systems approaches to meet each client’s unique needs. She has experience working with children, individuals, couples, and families in clinical settings, as well as a background in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), supporting children and families navigating autism spectrum disorder, ADHD, Fragile X syndrome, and other developmental differences.

She is committed to creating a warm, supportive, and nonjudgmental environment where clients feel empowered to grow, heal, and create meaningful change. Outside of her clinical work, Mileena enjoys traveling, spending time in nature, staying active, and prioritizing self-care.
