”Healing may not be so much about getting better, as about letting go of everything that isn’t you – all of the expectations, all of the beliefs – and becoming who you are”

―Rachel Naomi Remen

Nice to meet you! My name is Samantha, I strive to create an approachable environment where clients of all backgrounds feel comfortable bringing all of themselves in their entirety to the conversation where they are able to learn and grow. I’m not here to sugar coat things for you. I’m here to help you find the courage and strength to overcome the obstacles you have been faced with. Some of us have been dealt a bad deck of cards in this life. I see you. I hear you. I will sit with you. I will challenge you. Most importantly, I will meet you where you are and allow you the space to vent and feel without judgment.

My Approach & Values

Samantha is an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist who is passionate about working with all clients towards the goals of self-empowerment and acceptance. Samantha is particularly keen on working with individuals of all ages, adolescents, young adults, and children.

Born and raised in Fresno CA, Samantha received her Bachelor of Arts from California State University Fresno, with a major in Psychology. Samantha went on to work with an agency helping adults with developmental disabilities find appropriate and loving foster homes. After a few years of working, Samantha started her passion of helping others and completed her Master’s of Science in Marriage, Family and Child Counseling at California State University, Fresno in 2020.

Samantha is dedicated to bringing compassionate as well as directive care to children/adolescents, adults and their families. Samantha emphasizes working from a Systemic point of view, seeking to address people not solely on an individual level, but through the analysis of the individual’s interactions with various systems, including relationships, family of origin and cultural aspects. Further, Samantha utilizes a multimodal perspective to treatment, integrating techniques from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Emotionally Focused Therapy, Psychoanalysis and Solution Focused Therapy. Samantha understands that every client’s needs are unique and valid, and thus requires a unique and tailored approach to treatment.
