“Life is like a book: some chapters are sad, some happy and some exciting. But if you never turn the page, you will never know what the next chapter holds.” -Unknown

Welcome to CVFT. My name is Naaomi, and I am an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist. My foremost priority is to provide a safe, supportive, and non-judgmental environment where you can freely explore your thoughts, process emotions, and express your authentic self. I believe that therapy is a collaborative journey, and together we will navigate your challenges and work toward achieving your personal goals. Using an integrative approach, I draw upon humanistic, solution-focused, cognitive-behavioral, and strength-based therapies. My focus is on honoring your unique experiences and identities, exploring your core values, and empowering your strengths as they shape your mental health journey.

My Approach & Values

Naaomi is an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist based in Fresno, California. Her journey into the field of mental health began in high school, sparked by her initial exposure to psychology. Motivated by a deep passion for understanding and helping others, she pursued her bachelor’s degree in General Psychology from UC Santa Cruz, graduating in 2020. She furthered her education with a master’s degree in Clinical Psychology, specializing in Marriage and Family Therapy, from Pepperdine University in 2024. With a strong academic foundation and a genuine commitment to her field, Naaomi is dedicated to supporting and empowering individuals on their path to emotional well-being.

Growing up, Naaomi became acutely aware of the absence of open conversations around mental health within her family and community. This personal insight fueled her exploration of the broader societal stigma surrounding mental health, particularly the disparities in access to mental health services within underserved communities. Naaomi is deeply committed to human connection, compassion, and vulnerability, values she integrates into her work as both an educator and an advocate for her clients.

Naaomi believes that every individual possesses inherent strengths and tools that, when nurtured, can lead to personal growth and healing. She approaches therapy with unconditional positive regard, understanding the challenges that come with seeking help, sharing deeply personal experiences, and building trust. Through empathy, validation, and active listening, she meets each client where they are, both emotionally and mentally.

Her prior experience at a nonprofit organization, where she worked with individuals, children, and groups, provided her with a solid foundation in therapeutic practice. Naaomi has supported clients affected by domestic violence and its associated effects, including depression, anxiety, low self-esteem, adjustment disorders, and PTSD. She welcomes clients from all walks of life who are ready to begin their mental health journey.
