Commitment

Central Valley Family Therapy orients new clinicians on a rolling application cycle.  We strongly encourage clinicians who come from and understand the needs of the under-resourced communities we serve, and those who are fluent in Spanish to apply.

Our supervisors are committed to providing a supervision experience that is both rewarding and caring.  Supervision is an interactive process that improves the quality of client care, increases your clinical skills, and nurtures your professional growth.  We ask that each applicant be willing to engage in the following if they are applying:

  • Be an active participant in the supervision process

  • Be prepared for each session

  • Complete all required work in a timely manner following the practice deadlines. You can expect to receive timely feedback about your interventions and to have a supportive environment in which to explore client-related concerns, inclusive of transference issues that invariably arise.

Central Valley Family Therapy supervisors will monitor your progress and growth through weekly supervision of your cases, progress notes, audio or videotaping of sessions, live supervision, or other methods of direct supervision as appropriate.
