"Healing is a matter of time, but it is sometimes also a matter of opportunity" – Hippocrates

Welcome! I’m Grace Kim, and I’m so glad you’re here. Seeking therapy is a big step, and my goal is to provide a warm, nonjudgmental space where you feel heard, understood, and empowered. I take a collaborative approach, helping clients navigate anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, and life transitions by exploring thoughts, emotions, and experiences. Using Narrative Therapy, Emotion-Focused Therapy, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), I tailor sessions to your unique needs, balancing deep reflection with practical tools for meaningful change. Therapy isn’t about “fixing” you—it’s about growth and healing at your own pace. I look forward to supporting you on this journey.

My Approach & Values

Grace Kim, AMFT, holds a Master’s in Marriage and Family Therapy from Drexel University and a Bachelor’s in Psychology from UC San Diego. As an Asian American therapist, her multicultural background shapes her understanding of identity, generational trauma, and cultural expectations, allowing her to support BIPOC, first-generation individuals, and those navigating family and societal pressures.

Grace works with individuals, couples, and families facing anxiety, depression, self-esteem challenges, relational conflicts, trauma, and life transitions. Trained in Attachment-Based Family Therapy and Prolonged Exposure Emotional Processing Therapy, she specializes in trauma and relationship dynamics. Her approach blends Narrative Therapy, Emotion-Focused Therapy, and CBT, balancing deep self-exploration with practical change.

Bilingual in English and conversational Korean, Grace offers culturally responsive care. Outside of therapy, she enjoys exploring nature, traveling, writing, design, and discovering hidden gems at Costco.
