Alexis Humphrey is an Associate Licensed Clinical Counselor dedicated to supporting individuals as they navigate mental health challenges and pursue personal growth. She was raised in Southern California and earned her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from California State University, Fresno, as well as her Master’s degree in Clinical Counseling from Walden University in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
Early in her career, Alexis gained valuable clinical experience as a facilitator with the SERI program, where she provided support to military personnel, first responders, individuals in correctional facilities, and youth in juvenile centers facing a wide range of mental health concerns. This experience allowed her to develop a strong foundation in trauma-informed care and crisis intervention.
Alexis further developed her clinical skills during her internship at First Step Recovery Center, where she worked with individuals, couples, families, and groups addressing both mental health and substance use challenges. She later continued her work at Turning Point of Central California, providing compassionate, hands-on support to individuals experiencing moderate to severe mental health disorders.
Alexis specializes in trauma recovery, severe mental health concerns, and skill-building strategies designed to help clients overcome life’s challenges and build resilience. She is committed to empowering clients to develop a stronger sense of self and live more authentically. Her approach emphasizes individualized care and the creation of a safe, supportive, and collaborative therapeutic environment where clients feel encouraged and empowered to grow.
Her therapeutic work integrates evidence-based practices including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Person-Centered Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, Art and Creative Therapy, and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). Alexis tailors her approach to meet the unique needs and experiences of each client to support meaningful and lasting progress.
