“The wind. A gentle reminder that what cannot be seen, may still be felt.” -Liz Fair

My name is Mandy, and I’m an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist dedicated to helping individuals, couples, and families heal and grow. My path to this work began through personal exploration and a deep appreciation for the power of therapy and human resilience. I provide a warm, supportive space where clients can speak openly and feel truly heard, using a person-centered approach that values each individual’s unique story and strengths. My experience includes working with anxiety, depression, trauma, PTSD, and substance use, drawing from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Motivational Interviewing, Somatic Therapy, and Mindfulness-Based practices. I’m passionate about walking alongside others as they navigate life’s challenges and discover their capacity to thrive.

My Approach & Values

Mandy Michaud is an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist dedicated to supporting individuals through life’s challenges with compassion and insight. She earned her Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology from National University and a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology with an emphasis in Fitness from California State University, Long Beach. Her background in a body-focused discipline informs her holistic approach to therapy, emphasizing the mind-body connection to enhance self-awareness and foster deeper healing.

A native of California’s Central Valley, Mandy is deeply connected to the well-being of her community. Witnessing the emotional and relational struggles of those around her inspired her commitment to being a source of support and positive change. She is passionate about exploring how cultural and societal factors influence mental health and is dedicated to honoring the diverse identities and lived experiences of each client she serves.

Mandy began her clinical journey working with adolescents in substance use treatment and has since expanded her work to include children, adults, and couples. She integrates evidence-based approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Mindfulness, and Somatic Therapy to help clients build emotional resilience and reconnect with their inner strength. She also draws from Attachment Theory, Internal Family Systems (IFS), and the Gottman Method to deepen understanding and strengthen relationships.

Outside of her professional work, Mandy enjoys music—whether attending concerts or learning new instruments—as well as painting, crafting, gardening, hiking, and traveling. She is passionate about personal growth, lifelong learning, and walking alongside others as they pursue healing and self-discovery.
