"The heart may be weak, and sometimes it may even give in. But I've learned that deep down, there's a light that never goes out." - Tetsuya Nomura, Kingdom Hearts

Hi, I’m Dana King. I view therapy as a collaborative and safe space to explore your inner world, process past and present experiences, and move toward healing. I believe the therapeutic relationship is central to meaningful growth, and my goal is to support you in gaining insight, building resilience, and moving forward with confidence. I look forward to working with you!

My Approach & Values

Dana King is an Associate Professional Clinical Counselor dedicated to supporting individuals navigating life transitions, grief, anxiety, depression, and a range of other emotional challenges. She earned her Master of Arts in Clinical Counseling from Alliant International University, Fresno, and holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from California State University, Fresno.

Dana’s upbringing in the Central Valley has shaped her values as a clinician, emphasizing connection, community, and humility. She is committed to creating a therapeutic environment in which clients feel understood, supported, and empowered. Dana employs an eclectic, evidence-based approach to treatment, integrating person-centered therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to meet the individualized needs of each client. She enjoys working with diverse populations and is particularly passionate about helping clients build emotional insight, resilience, and practical skills to support daily functioning.

Outside of her clinical practice, Dana engages in activities that promote balance and creativity. She enjoys traveling to the beach, where she finds restoration and connection with nature, as well as crocheting and playing video games as ways to relax and recharge. These interests support her overall well-being and inform the grounded, authentic presence she brings to her work with clients.
