"Your body is not a problem to be solved. It is a home to come back to." - Dr. Thema Bryant

Hello, I’m Elizabeth Diaz, an Associate Clinical Social Worker. I’m honored you’re here—reaching out for support is a meaningful act of courage. I approach therapy as a collaborative, healing-centered process rooted in connection, compassion, and safety. My style is warm, relational, and culturally responsive, with a focus on your strengths and a deep respect for the complexity of your experiences. I integrate evidence-based modalities—such as Internal Family Systems, Narrative Therapy, and attachment-based approaches—through a trauma-informed and social justice lens. My goal is to create a safe, affirming space where you feel seen, grounded, and empowered to move toward healing and fulfillment. Whether you’re navigating life transitions, identity, relationships, or emotional challenges, I’m here to walk alongside you with authenticity and care.

My Approach & Values

Elizabeth Diaz is an Associate Clinical Social Worker who earned both her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Social Work from California State University, Fresno, with an academic foundation in Sociology. Born in Los Angeles and raised in Fresno, she identifies as a Mexican woman from a mixed-status family and brings a deep, lived understanding of the strength, complexity, and resilience shaped by the intersections of identity, culture, and lived experience.

In her clinical practice, Elizabeth approaches each individual as inherently whole and worthy. She fosters healing through connection, compassion, and curiosity, drawing from a trauma-informed, holistic, and relational framework. Her integrative style includes Attachment-Based Therapy, Internal Family Systems (IFS), Narrative Therapy, somatic modalities, and culturally responsive approaches—tailored to the unique needs of each individual or couple she supports. Her therapeutic presence is warm, intuitive, and grounded in authentic collaboration.

Elizabeth specializes in working with diverse adults and couples navigating trauma, intergenerational patterns, identity exploration, depression, anxiety, and relational challenges. She holds a particular passion for supporting mothers throughout the perinatal journey, helping them explore shifting identities and experiences with empathy and care. She is deeply committed to creating a space that honors each client’s healing path and cultural wisdom.

Beyond the therapy room, Elizabeth is a lifelong student with a passion for learning and personal growth. She has practiced yoga for over 20 years, finds joy in dance, and is a practitioner of Mexican Traditional Medicine. When welcomed by clients, she thoughtfully integrates ancestral healing practices into the therapeutic process. Elizabeth finds grounding in nature, fulfillment in motherhood, and peace in being present with her loved ones.
