Haley is an Associate Clinical Social Worker (ACSW #140007) who earned both her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Master of Social Work from California State University, Bakersfield. Originally from Bakersfield, Haley spent 15 years in Sonoma County before returning to the Central Valley to be closer to family and friends. Her passion for therapy is shaped by her own life experiences, which inspired her to pursue a career in mental health and support others as they navigate challenges, transitions, and personal growth.
Haley has experience working with individuals from a variety of backgrounds and life experiences, including members of the LGBTQIA+ community. Her professional background includes crisis services, community mental health, and outpatient therapy, where she has supported individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, substance use concerns, trauma, life transitions, relationship challenges, identity exploration, and self-esteem concerns.
In her therapeutic work, Haley incorporates elements of Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and Narrative Therapy to meet the unique needs of each client. She supports clients in developing effective coping skills, exploring the stories and beliefs that shape how they view themselves and the world around them, and recognizing their existing strengths and resilience. Haley takes a collaborative, client-centered approach grounded in the belief that each person is the expert on their own life. She strives to create a supportive and nonjudgmental environment where clients feel empowered to explore, grow, and create meaningful change.
Outside of the therapy room, Haley enjoys golfing with her spouse, hiking when the weather allows, and spending time with her three beloved pets. She is also an avid reader of science fiction and historical fiction, enjoys participating in her book club, and expresses her creativity through abstract painting and poetry.
