Hello, I’m Jackie, an Associate Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor. I am committed to providing a safe and supportive environment where individuals can navigate life’s challenges and foster meaningful growth. My diverse experience enables me to connect with people from all walks of life, offering compassionate support tailored to a wide range of struggles. Whether you are seeking to build resilience, develop healthier coping skills, or simply find a secure space to explore your emotions, I am here to guide and support you on your journey toward healing and personal growth.

My Approach & Values

Jackie is an Associate Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor dedicated to guiding clients through their therapeutic journeys with compassion and care. Recognizing that seeking support is a significant and vulnerable step, she strives to create a safe and encouraging environment where individuals feel empowered to take control of their mental health and well-being.

Jackie earned her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from CSU, Sacramento, an achievement shaped by her personal experiences. During her college years, her mother’s cancer diagnosis profoundly influenced her understanding of the importance of emotional resilience and seeking support in difficult times. As a first-generation Mexican American, Jackie grew up in a culture where challenging emotions were often left unspoken. However, she discovered the transformative power of openly addressing emotions, which fueled her passion for mental health. Determined to make a difference, she pursued a Master of Arts in Clinical Counseling at Alliant International University while working full-time, exemplifying her resilience and dedication to her career.

Jackie’s professional experience spans a range of impactful roles. As a responder for the 988 Suicide and Crisis Lifeline, she honed expertise in crisis intervention, trauma-informed care, and de-escalation techniques. She has worked with adult inmates and juveniles, focusing on anger management, emotional regulation, and navigating the complexities of the incarceration system. Additionally, Jackie has supported first responders and their families, addressing stress, burnout, and secondary trauma while fostering resilience and self-care. Her work with middle and high school students facing substance use challenges included motivational interviewing, harm reduction, self-esteem building, and developing healthier coping skills.

Jackie utilizes evidence-based modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), tailoring her approach to meet the unique needs of each client. She is committed to fostering a collaborative, nonjudgmental space where individuals feel supported in exploring their challenges and strengths. Her ultimate goal is to empower clients to build confidence, uncover their resilience, and navigate life’s complexities with hope and strength.
