“Change cannot be put on people. The best way to instill change is to do it with them. Create it with them.” -Lisa Bodell

Welcome to CVFT! I’m Lexi, and I’m honored to be part of your growth journey. I believe therapy is a collaborative process, where we combine your lived experience with my training to create personalized goals and interventions. Together, we’ll explore what’s working, build on your strengths, and consider how society, identity, and surrounding systems influence your well-being. Through this partnership, meaningful change is possible!

My Approach & Values

Lexi, an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist, holds a Master’s in Marriage and Family Therapy from Alliant International University and a Bachelor’s in Psychology from San Diego State University. Alongside her clinical work, she is a research assistant exploring the use of expressive arts in therapy, including bibliotherapy, poetry, and puppetry.

Originally from Fresno, CA, Lexi understands the importance of accessible mental health support in the Central Valley and values the diverse cultural, religious, and social experiences that shape her clients. As an LGBTQ+ affirming therapist, she is passionate about helping individuals, couples, and families navigate challenges such as depression, anxiety, trauma, grief, relationship satisfaction, co-parenting, and gender/sexual identity.

Lexi takes a client-centered, strengths-based approach, believing that therapy is not one-size-fits-all and that everyone is capable of change. She integrates Solution-Focused and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), incorporating art and play interventions for children and families. With couples, she draws from The Gottman Method, using research-backed techniques to strengthen relationships.
