"When you truly listen to another person, you empower them." - Michelle Obama

Welcome, I’m Michelle, an associate clinical social worker! Whether this is your first time in therapy or a return to the process, I’m truly honored to walk alongside you. I approach therapy with care, honesty, and respect, creating a safe, nonjudgmental space where healing, growth, and meaningful change can unfold.

As your therapist, my role isn’t to fix you, but to guide you in reconnecting with your strengths, reshaping painful narratives, and discovering what healing looks like for you. My personal experience as a suicide loss survivor has deepened my empathy and strengthened my commitment to holding space for grief, trauma, and the silent burdens many carry. You are not alone.

My style is warm, collaborative, and grounded. I value transparency, genuine connection, and humor when it fits—all while centering your goals, your story, and your voice.

My Approach & Values

Michelle is an Associate Clinical Social Worker committed to supporting individuals and families in feeling seen, heard, and empowered. She earned both her Master of Social Work (2025) and Bachelor’s in Social Welfare (2017) from Fresno Pacific University.

Originally from Oklahoma, Michelle’s identity as a mother, grandmother, and active community member profoundly informs her therapeutic perspective. A mother of three and proud grandmother, she brings empathy, patience, and lived wisdom to her clinical work. Her personal experience as a suicide loss survivor further deepens her ability to hold compassionate space for grief, trauma, and emotional pain—while also honoring resilience and hope.

Michelle has over a decade of experience in the helping professions, having served children, adolescents, adults, and families across educational, community, and clinical settings. She holds specialized training in trauma-informed care, crisis intervention, emotional regulation, special education advocacy, and substance abuse counseling (CATC-I certified). Her therapeutic approach is rooted in cultural humility and integrates evidence-based modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), strengths-based frameworks, and psychoeducation. When appropriate, she also weaves in spirituality and values-based reflection in alignment with clients’ preferences.

Michelle has a particular passion for working with youth and families, individuals experiencing grief and loss, trauma survivors, and those navigating significant life transitions or chronic stress. Her practice is relational at its core, grounded in the belief that healing emerges through safety, connection, and meaningful self-discovery.

Outside of the therapy room, Michelle is a dedicated sports mom who enjoys cheering on her children and spending time with her granddaughter. She and her family love traveling and hosting international exchange students—experiences that continue to enrich her appreciation for diverse cultures, values, and life stories.
