"When all the good in you starts arguing with all the bad in you about who you really are, never let the bad in you make the better case."- Andrea Gibson

Hello, my name is Rebecca, and I am an Associate Clinical Social Worker at Central Valley Family Therapy. My passion lies in helping individuals recover from trauma by integrating mindfulness and trauma-informed yoga practices, fostering a renewed sense of safety and connection within their bodies. Additionally, I specialize in treating OCD, anxiety, and depression through evidence-based methods such as i-CBT, TEAM-CBT, Motivational Interviewing, and Narrative Therapy, guiding clients toward growth and healing.

My Approach & Values

Rebecca is an Associate Clinical Social Worker committed to guiding clients through life’s challenges and empowering them to rediscover their strengths. She has a particular passion for working with adults and adolescents navigating OCD, trauma recovery, and anxiety. Rebecca often integrates creativity-based techniques into her therapy, using art, storytelling, and other expressive modalities to foster connection and healing. Her approach is rooted in evidence-based practices such as TEAM-CBT, mindfulness, and motivational interviewing, ensuring each client receives care tailored to their unique needs and goals.

Originally from Pennsylvania, Rebecca earned her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Criminology from Albright College. Her dedication to mental health advocacy and social justice, combined with her personal mental health journey, inspired her to pursue a Master of Social Work degree at Louisiana State University. Over the course of her career, she has worked with diverse populations, offering compassionate care and empowering individuals to create meaningful and lasting changes in their lives.

Rebecca’s approach is collaborative and compassionate, fostering a supportive space where clients can explore their experiences, build resilience, and connect with their inner strengths. She is dedicated to tailoring therapy to each individual’s unique needs and goals, whether that involves processing past experiences, developing new coping skills, or creating a life more aligned with their values. Rebecca is committed to supporting her clients on their journey toward healing and personal growth.

Rebecca is deeply committed to creating a safe and collaborative therapeutic environment where clients can process emotions, explore experiences, and develop the tools necessary to thrive. Whether supporting clients in working through trauma, managing OCD, or fostering creative expression, Rebecca is dedicated to guiding them on their path to wellness and self-discovery.

Outside of her professional life, Rebecca enjoys spending time with her cats, delving into a good book, recording music, writing, and acting. She has a passion for travel, immersing herself in different cultures, cuisines, and languages. Rebecca is also an animal lover who frequently fosters animals, much to the dismay of her resident cats.
