"You can’t always control what goes on outside, but you can always control what goes on inside.”- Wayne Dyer

Building trust takes time. I enjoy getting to know my clients at their own pace. I see therapy as a safe place where my clients can feel comfortable sharing their thoughts, feelings, and experiences. I am not here to tell you what to do, rather I am here to listen and validate. I let my clients lead the session. As a therapist, I will walk beside you and provide you with the support you need. Therapy can be a place where you share your old story or maybe you just want to rewrite a new one. Together, we can work together to find a therapeutic plan that best suits your needs.

My Approach & Values

Harman is an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist who is passionate about empowering her clients to create the change they deserve to help increase their overall well-being. She enjoys working with all populations in providing various services such as individual counseling, group counseling, couples counseling, and family counseling.

Harman previously worked for Turlock Unified School District in which she provided support for those who had depression, anxiety, as well as assisting others with life transitions. In her previous position, she has incorporated cognitive behavior therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, play therapy, motivational interviewing, as well as providing coping strategies and additional resources.

As someone who was a child of an immigrant, Harman recognizes how it can be difficult to cope when cultural values and beliefs of your family conflict with your own view on the world. Harman hopes to support her clients through their personal struggles in navigating their identity. Harman believes that our thoughts hold a lot of power over us and wants to create a safe place in which clients can feel comfortable discussing their thoughts and feelings to process them in a helpful manner. Harman believes every person is unique and enjoys getting to know all her clients to help create therapeutic strategies that best suit their needs.

Harman was born and raised in Fresno, CA and has completed both her undergraduate and graduate degree at California State University, Stanislaus. She has enjoyed her time in Turlock, CA and is very excited to be back in her hometown where she can help others from her community.
