"Success is no accident. It is hard work, perseverance, learning, studying, sacrifice and most of all, love of what you are doing or learning to do." - Pele

Hello! My name is Amelia, and I am a Fresno native interested in providing therapy for individuals of all ages, couples, and families. As a first-generation Asian American woman, I have a big passion for helping my community by providing psychoeducation on the connection between the mind and body and advocating the importance of maintaining a proper mental health. I have experience in helping individuals with sexual trauma and abuse. I have utilized different techniques that include talking, exercising, playing, drawing, and being mindful during sessions. I believe healing for every individual is based on their own needs and should be done at their own pace. I am the fortunate individual that gets to support them unconditionally. I look forward to working with you!

My Approach & Values

Amelia obtained her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of California, Merced and earned her Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology at National University.

Amelia is an Associate Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and Associate Professional Clinical Counselor who is passionate about working with all clients towards the goals of self-empowerment and core building. Amelia is particularly interested in working with children/adolescents, young adults, couples, and peri-natal women and their families. She has a strong passion for helping new moms and their families with post-partum depression and adjusting to the changes of having a little one. She is also interested in helping patients with trauma recovery, including sexual abuse, domestic violence, depression, anxiety, and PTSD.

Amelia utilizes a multimodal perspective to treatment, integrating techniques that include talk therapy, art therapy, PARTS works, play therapy, narrative therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, exercise/walk therapy, and family systems. She strongly believes in collaborating with the patient to formulate goals and a plan to assist them in healing at the pace they need. Amelia provides mindful techniques as well as psychoeducation to her patients in the areas of self-compassion, empowerment, and self-worth. She aims to help her patients find the connection between their emotions and their nervous system.

When not working with her patients, Amelia enjoys hiking, watching soccer, remodeling homes, playing with her farm animals, and farming! She enjoys cooking and loving watching the English Premier League, World Cup, and Olympics!
