Welcome! My name is Araceli and I am an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist. I believe therapy is a place of healing where you can come and express yourself in a safe environment. My role as a therapist will be to walk alongside you in times of difficulty or any situation that may be altering your life at this time. As a therapist, I create a therapeutic space by actively listening and demonstrating compassion for your emotions, thoughts, and feelings. My approach is to help guide and support you with an individualized plan to best meet your needs. Together with a collaborative approach, we can help improve your quality of life.

My Approach & Values

Araceli is an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist who is passionate about serving a helping hand in the mental health community. She appreciates working with various populations such as adults, children, adolescents, and the elderly. She strives to promote individual change and healing with different therapeutic approaches within counseling.

Araceli previously worked for a non-profit organization where she helped individuals experiencing mental health symptoms like depression, anxiety, and schizophrenia and aided them to become self-sufficient and independent by helping them to maintain their mental health symptoms with interventions.

In her professional development as a therapist, she has applied different therapeutic approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Person-Centered, and Play therapy while working with individuals to help improve their mental health. She believes everyone’s situation is unique and will apply strategies that best fit the needs of the individual.

Born and raised in a traditionally Hispanic family Araceli recognizes the stigma of mental health and the barriers it poses to talk about your emotions and the negative impact it has. In an attempt to break away from that stigma, she became a therapist to help break those barriers and promote the importance of talking about emotions and personal struggles with mental health and working towards improving mental health in all culturally diverse communities.

Araceli dedicates to treating each person with compassion, empathy, and authenticity. She understands that sometimes we need some guidance and support to help when life situations get difficult and asking for help may be frightening but she is here to show unconditional support and guidance each step of the way.

Araceli completed her undergraduate degree at California State University of Fresno with a Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Studies – Blended Program. She continued her education with the completion of a graduate degree at the University of Phoenix with a Master of Science in Counseling Marriage, Family, and Child Therapy. In her spare time, she enjoys quality time with her family/friends and traveling to the sound of calming ocean views.
