My Approach & Values

Aisha is an Associate Professional Clinical Counselor whose ultimate goal for her clients is to provide a safe space for healing, growth, change, and empowerment using evidence-based treatments. Aisha has experience working with children, adolescents, young adults, first-generation Americans, and immigrants.

Aisha grew up in Indiana and embarked on her journey in the field of speech and hearing sciences, earning her Bachelor of Science degree from Indiana University. With a strong foundation in communication disorders, she began her clinical career in 2015 as a Speech Language Pathology Assistant. In this role, Aisha provided invaluable services to children of all ages and abilities, assisting them in overcoming developmental challenges such as apraxia, stuttering, autism, and articulation and language disorders. Her ability to connect with and nurture a diverse range of children was evident, rooted in a deep-seated respect and compassion for each individual.

Driven by her innate passion for facilitating personal growth and development, Aisha transitioned into the mental health field where she earned her Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Walden University. Equipped with her clinical experience and a profound belief in the inherent capacity for positive change within every child, adolescent, and adult, she embarked on a new chapter as a therapist. Aisha’s professional ethos is grounded in the conviction that personal growth begins with the recognition of the need for change. She firmly believes that every individual possesses the potential for growth and development and sees her role as a therapist as one of empowerment – guiding clients towards realizing their fullest potential.

Aisha’s dedication to her profession extends beyond mere job satisfaction; it is a calling rooted in her desire to support clients on their journey towards optimal growth, development, and fulfillment. She finds profound joy and fulfillment in witnessing the transformative journey of her clients and couldn’t imagine pursuing any other career path.

Outside of her professional endeavors, Aisha finds solace and joy in a variety of personal interests. She cherishes moments spent with family, animals, finds inspiration in exploring new places through travel, and rejuvenates her spirit by embarking on long hikes amidst nature’s beauty.

In essence, Aisha’s journey is defined by her unwavering commitment to empowering others, her boundless passion for personal growth and development, and her genuine love for her work as a counselor.
